Christmas 2018

We had a lovely Christmas. It wasn’t a white Christmas but it was filled with all the wonderful stuff of the holidays- time at home with family, movies, presents, music on the record player, cookies... but this year we had the added enjoyment of our newly finished basement. It really added a cozy place to enjoy the season.

We had a slightly longer break from school than we have had in previous years which was really nice. We went to The Christmas Carol at the Overture Center with Mom, Sarah, Enrique and Alejandro. On Christmas Day we just hunkered down and enjoyed the day. We got Zeke Super Mario stuff and a few Bumblebee toys and art supplies. We gave Ayla a Grace Vanderwaal concert ukulele.

It snowed on the evening of New Years Eve so we played outside in the snow and dark and built a fire in the fire pit and made a snowman. We stayed up till midnight and played the Game of Life and watched Christmas Vacation until it was time to count down. There was a Twilight Zone marathon on tv all week which made me happy.
