Sometimes in life really random things happen. This summer Ayla asked Jake to enter a radio contest to win tickets to see Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5 in concert. Jake texted to enter one time and guess what? Ayla won the grand prize!!
So, on August 3 we headed to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to enjoy our Grand Prize trip (hotel and meet-and-greet passes included) to the Newbo Evolve Festival. On the 3rd we had passes to meet Kelly Clarkson in person. What a THRILLING moment for Ayla! She totally cried when she met Kelly. The next day we enjoyed the downtown farmers market and the hotel pool and then that night went to see Maroon 5 in concert.
The next day we headed to Galena, Illinois. That wasn't part of the prize, it was just on the way home and was a place I had always wanted to visit so we extended our trip a little longer.
All-in-all it was a great trip and so much fun!
