Uh oh! Wow....

A couple new words in the vocabulary - for Ayla, not me (jake). This morning during breakfast Ayla started a fun new game of dropping her spoon on the floor and saying "uh oh". (which is the picture) She's dropped plenty of things on the floor before, but this time there's a word associated with it so we'll see how much fun this becomes!

Ayla's birthday party on Sunday went very well. We had a nice break with the weather which helped our house not feel like a can of sardines! Thanks to everyone who came to the party, sent cards or birthday wishes. And thanks for taking such an interest in our baby girl's life! Ayla seemed to enjoy the party. She even clapped during the singing of happy birthday to her, but she wasn't up for cake. That's ok - we ate enough of it for the whole family. : ) About halfway through the party Ayla had to go up for a nap and when she awoke, she seemed to be wondering where all the people went!

Ayla has been enjoying a couple new toys, but most of all it seems she like her balloons. Every time she comes into the room where they are she says "ooooh" and "wow". Its so cute to see her little mouth say "oooh".

This morning we're taking a family trip to the doctor for Ayla's 1 year check up. "wow" : )
