Popeye the sailor man

Ayla the sailor girl. This was a lucky shot. Ayla requires a certain amount of distraction while she is eating in order for me to get the spoon into her mouth without her swatting it away. So, I give her little kitchen items-a spoon, a tupperware lid, or in this case a little scoop. She put it in her mouth and smiled big! Funny thing- she really was eating spinach when I took this!

We are all doing well. All three of us had a cold over the weekend, but we're feeling fine now. Ayla is so much fun, so smiley and curious. She still loves music and dances and claps her hands to it. She hates eating. She hates her highchair, she hates bibs. Ah well.

This morning when she first saw me she said "mama." What a wonderful way to start my day!
