First Day of School!

5th grade and 2nd grade! So hard to believe. It was hard to say goodbye to a wonderful summer, the first one where I got to be home with the kids full time. We made the most of it with lots of swimming, late nights, ice cream and sleeping in. 

Now it's back to reality. Ayla has embraced the transition with enthusiasm and I get the impression that she feels the 5th grade fits her well. Zeke for once has been the hesitant one. He is feeling a bit stressed and has had more emotions with the change. I think if it were up to him, he'd stay little forever and the 2nd grade is a big deal!!
