A pair of graphs
The 4
It snowed about 4-6 inches this last Friday and with it being our first Saturday in awhile with us all at home together we had some fun out in it! We started by tromping around the backyard for awhile - Ayla making snow angels and Zeke going on the swing haha. Who needs snow right? From there we illegally drove 3 minutes (I wasn't going to try and get Zeke in his carseat in a snow suit) over to the park for some sledding. We took a few turns with 3 of us, 2 of us and 1 of us (Ayla) realizing that for next winter we need another sled. We didn't attempt all 4 of us. And there are no pictures because we went to have fun - not make documentary of our fun. : )
The A
A couple of weeks ago Ayla and I went Ice Skating on annual church outing. We did this last year as well. And last year we had 2-3 meltdowns concerning the way the skates felt, wanting to skate but not wanting to skate and who knows what else. This year - who was this kid? Skates on in 2 minutes and on the ice in another 2. No meltdowns although a strong will to figure out how to skate. It struck me afterward how much she has changed. Oh she still has her moments, but for some reason it made me realize that she has grown in more ways than height.
The Z
Did someone say fork? As his sister did around this age Zeke has found an interesting way to say fork. Use your imagination. Otherwise, the kid has a remarkable use and understanding of vocabulary. Bragging parent I know. Ayla always was a jabber from a young age but Zeke might have her though - yes, comparing children too - parenting 101 eh? Anyway Z knows all the letters of the alphabet - not in order - just if you hold up the letter and ask - no tricks here haha. He also uses short sentences quite often as well - our favorite being "I like it". Such as when he is on a swing - although on a swing is where he is actually the most quiet. Yesterday I must have pushed him on the swing downstairs (yes we have as swing in our basement - awesome) for 30 minutes and he didn't say a word until Ayla and Ruth stopped down. Then he let out a "weeee..."
