the real Tinersg
Zeke is 9 months old! He had his 9 month check up today. Man, we always thought Ayla was a tiny baby. For the sake of comparison- Ayla at 9 months weighed 17 pounds 10 ounces. Little brother weighed in today at a whopping 16 pounds 5 ounces, placing him in the first percentile for weight! What a tiny guy he is. We joke that someday Ayla will be the tall big sister and Zeke will be the short (and jealous) little brother, mad that his sister got all the height. It's true, Ayla tends to be shaped more like Jake and Zeke more like me. He is petite like me and has small facial features like me (except his ears!)
I'm sure I say it every time I post a blog, but he is such a sweet and charming little guy. He just smiles and smiles. For such a little guy he is very strong and very fast. He loves his big sister and always wants to see what she is up to. Although he has times where he cries every time she even comes close to him. She doesn't understand how to tone things down for him and therefore has one speed, one volume and one level of pressure when it comes to touching and poking and sometimes she's just a bit much for him!! Nonetheless they are sweet together.
He babbles more and more, but still always tends towards "G" sounds ("ga" "goo") He is always saying "gung gung" and many times says it when he waves bye.
He seems to really enjoy finger food and is helping himself to cheese, toast, puffs, yogurt drops, sweet potatoes, avocados, and cheerios quite regularly. Interesting how much easier it has been to introduce finger foods this time around. I remember being so intimidated by the idea with Ayla.
He loves heating vents. He takes a marker(we always have markers laying around from big sister the artist!) and crawls over to a vent and will drag the marker over it like he's playing a wash board. He entertains himself for quite a while that way. He even seems to know which vents in which rooms are the best for "playing."
Can't think of anything else to say right now. Enjoy.
