Easter - not Wester

Happy April showers! And I hear maybe some flurries tonight? Ah well. Tis Spring time in Wisconsin. And supposed to nice again this weekend. Looking forward to getting there, hopefully a bit more healthy in our house. Easter weekend was a lot of fun, but ended Sunday night with Ayla coming down with a bad cold and croup - long night. Needless to say, we're still recovering and fighting off colds (all of us) but everyone is in better spirits!

As I said, Easter weekend was fun though. We visited with some family Saturday morning - which included my cousins' kids Degan, Senna & Evie. Degan and Ayla played a fun game of throwing the ball up and down the steps. It was reminiscent of playing a similar game with my cousin Amy (Degan's mom) oh so many years ago. : ) Ayla also helped me give Evie a bottle which was quite cute and good practice for the near(er) future.

Sunday morning Ruth had to work, but met us at church where we were also joined by my mom and dad. Easter morning Ayla received her Easter present (we didn't do a basket) which was a soccer ball! She was pretty excited and we've played many games inside with it so far (sorry mommy!) since it's been kind of crappy outside. Nothing broken yet though! Later Sunday afternoon we went over to my mom and dad's where Ayla found her Easter basket and did an Easter Egg hunt with goodies inside.

So, fun weekend, rougher week so far, but everyone is doing ok. Here are some pics from the weekend - Ayla and Ruth in Easter dress, Ayla with her soccer ball, Ayla being the Easter bunny with her pants on her head (awesome) and Ayla deciding to wear a bonnet while watching Max and Ruby while sitting with her legs crossed! Such a little lady. : )

Hope everyone is feeling well and had a wonderful Easter. I want to give a special Happy Birthday to Ayla's cousin Caden who turned 8 years old today. We can't wait to see you again - hopefully soon!
