Terrible Two's
Did you give up on us? We're still here! Wanted to share some good pictures we have taken lately. Don't really know what to tell. Ayla is in her terrible two's and at moments it really is terrible!! Our days (and nights) are filled with lots of refusing- to eat, to sleep, to go pee- she's learning to flex those independent muscles for the first time!
She of course is still very sweet and good, though. We love being home together as a family and just playing, drawing, and singing- something Ayla loves to do and is very good at! She especially loves the "I love you" song from Barney and her old favorites 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' and 'If You're Happy and You Know It" in which she says "clap, clap" instead of actually clapping. Both of these songs are often sung very slowly, deliberately, and with a lot of feeling.
Jake wanted to add a few of his favorite things of late:
Sharing popsicles - Jake's happy she shares the popsicle gene : )
Ayla very very very sweetly with big blue eyes says "do you want some daddy?" when pretending to make tea, ice cream or whatever comes to her mind.
Last week they were having breakfast together when Ayla proceeded to ask for some of Jake's raisin bran and then eat it all while calling it "praisins". He wasn't too devastated considering she patted him on the shoulder and said "you're a nice daddy" and "you're a big boy and handsome".
Jake and Ayla still LOVE reading books together - Ayla's been picking new one's out each week from the library.
Well, enjoy the pictures.
