June

When June started, the 4 of us were in Corpus Christi Texas. As the month ends, we're all home. Lots happened in between!

Someone turned 4 in case you missed that post. Someone turned 31-while he was in Mexico on a church trip. Same person got shingles after returning from Mexico and couldn't come home for 3 more days....3 looong days - thanks for the extra boarding and care mom and dad g. And thanks to my amazing wife who took care of everyone for all that time (with some great help from dear friend Alyssa -thanks!)

Some other happy things happened though too! The kitchen got a new bench seat - thanks sister Sarah! The garden grew - thanks Ruth! Zeke is standing up from sitting - and then dancing quite adorably (although not officially walking yet). Ayla is getting more daring on the park equipment and getting quite the little stick collection. Ruth and I had a date all day getting to spend more than an hour together - coffee, half priced books, lunch and X-Men 1st Class (great movie)!

All the while summer is cruising along toooooo fast - per usual. But summer it is - especially tomorrow at 95 degrees! Tomorrow we'll fill up the mini pool and get ready for the 4th of July weekend. Hopefully some yard work, cookouts and fireworks too.

Looking through the camera I realize we haven't taken many pictures lately! Here's one of Ayla getting ready for winter (haha) and a picture showing Zeke standing while using the remote (watching Wimbledon!).
